Quartzite outdoors - A beautiful flair and play of colors
Quartzite slabs impress not only with their hardness and resistance, but also with their versatility in outdoor areas. Facade claddings set expressive accents. Quartzite stones convince and inspire with the mica effect and their multifaceted color play with nuances of anthracite, yellow, blue, brown, light and darker accents, light gray to dark gray, and even sometimes rose tones. Polygonal slabs in their different sizes and shapes bring a great dynamic to the ground and create a modern and noble atmosphere in the driveway or on the terrace. Thanks to the high quartz content, quartzite slabs are not affected by dirt and absorb almost no water after an impregnation. Even in winter, they remain undamaged and frost cannot harm them.

Patio slabs natural stone made of quartzite
Quartzite is a hard and sophisticated natural stone that is durable and can therefore be used without any problems for several decades. Its surface is relatively smooth and has a beautiful play of colors that looks different depending on the quartzite as well as sunlight or moonlight. Quartzite rock is resistant to weather influences and is therefore very suitable for use as a patio slab, is easy to maintain and only needs to be cleaned occasionally to maintain its beautiful appearance. The sedimentary rock quartzite, which consists of quartz grains that are interconnected by deposition and solidification, is an affordable stone compared to other natural stones such as granite or marble.

WHAT ARE QUARTZITE SLABS?
Our quartzites are broken stone slabs made of **fine and high-quality quartzite rock**. They are characterized by a fine to medium grain size and the slabs are available in **many colors**. There are different types of quartzites such as Polaris, Antares, Jasmares, Auralis, Deep Sea, Kallisto, Copper, Lemuria Light, Clara, and Violet which are offered by us in different formats as polygonal slabs. Natural stones are excellent for enhancing your spaces. Quartzite polygonal slabs can also be used for outdoor areas as well as decorative polygonal slabs for indoor walls, the floors of wet rooms, or as pathway slabs. Polygonal "natural stone tiles" are particularly versatile in their application. -
PROPERTIES OF QUARTZITE SLABS
As a product of nature, our quartzite slabs are high-quality, stable, and durable materials. In addition, our quartzite slabs have high robustness, making them ideal as floor slabs for the terrace or garden.
Natural stone made of quartzite is easy to care for and due to its hardness and resistance, it is highly resistant to rain, sun, and frost. Strongly staining liquids of everyday use cannot harm our quartzite terrace slabs. Due to the medium grain size of the quartzite, our products are also non-slip - perfect for designing your garden.

PURPOSES OF USE
The rubble stone slabs in many shapes and sizes can be used to create a rustic and cozy atmosphere. They are also perfect for softening clear lines and hard edges. The white cube with a glass front facing the garden is given a distinctive character by quartzite accents in the garden - for example as patio slabs - and the charm of the cozy half-timbered house is perfectly complemented by the warm tones and unique shapes of the natural stones. Quartzite is also excellent for indoor use. The polygonal slabs can perfectly complement designer rooms with accents of natural stone, for example as wall cladding. But even a countertop made of high-quality natural stone can be extremely appealing.
6 valuable tips for outdoor terrace slabs polygonal slabs
- The frost resistance of natural stone when used outdoors is of utmost importance. Quartzite slabs from bruchsteinplatten.de are particularly resistant to weathering and frost.
- To ensure optimal drainage of rain and meltwater, quartzite terrace slabs should normally be laid with a slope of approximately 2-3% to create a so-called laying slope. Despite the resistance of the stone, this is essential for cementitious installation. Bruchsteinplatten.de, on the other hand, uses permeable joints (see Terrassenpaket COMPRESA). This laying method does not require a slope.
- We recommend the cement-free installation of quartzite outdoors by using Premium Quartz Gravel (2 x washed, 1 x flamed) with a grain size of 2-4 mm in combination with resin as a substructure. For the joint, we use a colored joint mortar made of quartz gravel with a grain size of 0.7 - 1.2 mm, which is also bonded with resin.
- If at the end of the installation one or more stones do not fit perfectly in shape, the polygonal shaped stone slabs can be broken or reshaped with a rubber mallet to change the shape and format. We do not recommend cutting or sawing quartzite stones.
- After installation, the impregnation follows. This preserves the surface of your quartzite terrace slabs by providing effective protection against stains. Here we differentiate between a nature effect impregnation and a color intensifying impregnation.
- Depending on the stress on the laid slabs, we recommend regular maintenance and reapplication of the impregnation between annually and every 2-3 years.

Great praise!
"I didn't expect such a fast and uncomplicated delivery! The quartzite slabs were here in no time and I could start laying them. That was really great, big praise! Everything was also well packaged - no transport damage."

FAQ - Answers to frequently asked questions about quartzite slabs, quartzite polygonal slabs, and terrace slabs made of quartzite natural stone
What are quartzite polygonal slabs?
Quartzite polygonal slabs are slabs made of quartzite, a very hard rock that occurs in many regions of the world. They are polygonally shaped and are often used for laying floor coverings, pathway slabs, or as decorative elements.
How did quartzite form?
Quartzite is formed through a natural process of weathering and compression of rock. This process can be caused by wind, water, and erosion. Quartzite is formed from sandstone, limestone, granite, and other rocks that have a high quartz content. Through pressure and weathering, the rock particles are compressed and bound together. This results in a new rock known as quartzite.
What are quartzites with high quartz content?
Quartzites with a high quartz content are a type of rock that consists of almost 100% quartz. They are typically very hard and durable, and are commonly used in the construction industry to increase the strength of structures. There are different types of quartzites, but those with a high quartz content have particularly high density and strength.
How does the gray quartzite get its color?
Grey quartzite is a sedimentary rock that consists mainly of quartz. The color of the rock is determined by the amount of iron inclusions contained in the quartz. Since iron inclusions occur in varying amounts, the quartzite can take on different shades of grey and brown.
What makes quartzite slabs so interesting for outdoor use?
Quartzite patio slabs are highly resistant to weather conditions and are therefore very suitable for outdoor use. They are also very durable and can withstand a variety of weather conditions, such as heat, cold, rain, and snow. They are also long-lasting and can withstand higher levels of wear and tear. They have a natural and beautiful texture that makes them very attractive. They are also easy to clean, maintain, and install.
Why natural stone paving and patio slabs?
Natural stone is particularly popular in the design of gardens and terraces. They are not only weather-resistant, but also very robust and durable. Additionally, they provide a natural look that other materials cannot offer. Since patio slabs are available in many different colors and textures, they can enhance the garden or terrace in a beautiful way and create a unique ambiance. Quartzite natural stones are also very easy to maintain and do not change over time, so they still look like new even after years.
